Welcome
Dear Colleague:
Those
of us on the front lines of education are continually working to improve
course content, delivery and assessment methods. We face the on-going
challenge of incorporating new technologies into courses and classrooms, and
we now have a new challenge from local, state and national educational
policy makers to increase and enhance science/math education.
This year’s Teaching/Learning Conference will seek to address both challenges. Many of you have already developed strategies and techniques that address different aspects of those concerns, and I cordially invite you to share your successes with fellow educators.
Proposals are sought for concurrent conference sessions that describe successful approaches and/or programs in such areas as:
- E-Learning, particularly as related to Blackboard
- Information Sharing Technologies such as Blogging, Podcasting, Wiki’s, etc.
- Teaching/Learning Strategies for specific subject areas in math/science and liberal arts
- Motivation Strategies
- Utilizing Critical Thinking
Your participation will help make the Teaching/Learning Conference a valuable learning experience for all.
Sincerely,
Greg Adkins
